Our family of companies includes Camden National Bank and Acadia Trust, N.A. (our "Affiliates"), as well as Union Trust which is operated as a division of Camden National Bank and Acadia Financial Consultants, located at Camden National Bank.
We do not sell or disclose nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to outside marketers. However, we are permitted by law to share with our Affiliates information concerning your customer account history and experience. The information we share with our Affiliates helps us provide you with greater convenience and a broader range of services that may benefit you.

Camden National Corporation & Subsidiaries Privacy Policy This Privacy Policy applies to Camden National Corporation and its entire family of companies, including Camden National Bank and Acadia Trust, N.A. (our "Affiliates"), as well as Union Trust which is operated as a division of Camden National Bank and Acadia Financial Consultants, located at Camden National Bank.
Information Management
We are entrusted with sensitive financial information. While this information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is your trust, and we understand how important it is that sensitive information remains confidential. We will limit the use and collection of information about you to that which is necessary to administer our business, provide superior service, and offer additional products.
Maintenance of Accurate Information
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. We pledge to respond to requests regarding our records that may contain inaccurate or incomplete information on a timely basis. We will investigate and correct any inaccuracies in a timely manner. Limitations on Employee Access to and Use of Information
At the time of employment, each employee is required to sign a copy of our "Code of Ethics," which contains a statement on privacy. Each employee is also required to sign a Pledge of Confidentiality. The orientation process includes a thorough discussion of the confidentiality requirements contained in our Privacy Policy ("Policy"). It is the responsibility of each employee to thoroughly understand and adhere to the Policy, and to contact his or her manager or their Compliance Officer should there be any doubt whatsoever as to how to proceed in a specific set of circumstances.
Collecting Information
We collect personally identifiable information about you for many reasons, including to help us identify you, evaluate your applications for products and services, service and manage your accounts, and offer you useful financial products and services. We collect this information from a number of sources, including the following:
- Information provided by you on account applications and other forms, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, social security number, date of birth, and mother’s maiden name. In the process of credit and investment review, we collect other information such as income and employment.
- Information obtained through your account transactions and account experience with us or our family of affiliates including account balance, payment history, account usage and our communications with you.
- Information from credit bureaus and similar other companies, such as your account and payment history with other lenders.
- Information provided by other third parties, such as demographic firms, in connection with marketing programs.
- Information obtained online, including information from “cookies” or other technology that may be used to track your usage of our Web site.
Sharing Information With Third Parties
As a general matter, we do not reveal information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use unless: 1) you request or authorize it, 2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you, or 3) prior notification has been given to you regarding the possible disclosure of information for marketing or similar purposes and you have been given the opportunity to decline.
We may share all of the information described above with certain unaffiliated parties, subject to applicable law, as described below (these examples are not intended to be all inclusive):
- We may share customer information with companies (service providers) that perform services for us, such as check and loan payment coupon printing, marketing, and promotional material. All of these companies act on our behalf, are contractually obligated to keep information that we have provided them confidential, and use the information only to provide the services that we have asked them to perform
- We may provide information about you and your account to another financial institution to jointly offer financial services, such as credit insurance. If medical information were disclosed, the information would only be shared with those who need to know this information to process the credit insurance application. We do not allow this information to be used for any other purpose.
- We may share information with consumer reporting agencies and other reputable companies in order to verify the existence and condition of your accounts. We do not share your customer information with independent companies for any other purpose without your consent.
- We are required by law to provide certain customer information to government agencies. We only disclose customer information to these agencies when it is mandated by law. These laws include the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, Internal Revenue Code, Right to Financial Privacy Act and the Welfare Reform Act.
- We must disclose customer information to third party litigants if we are required to do so by lawful judicial process or by court order.
Sharing Information With Affiliates
We may share information among our Affiliates. This information includes:
- Information concerning our experiences with you and your accounts,
- Information you have given to us as part of an application for one of our products or services, or
- Information we have received from a consumer reporting agency or other third party.
We may also share information we collect about you within our family of companies to:
- Help provide you with better service or perform services on your behalf;
- Respond to communications from you or as you authorize or request; or
- Make it more convenient for you to open a new account.
You may request that we not share among our Affiliates any application information you provided to us, and any information we received from third parties, by calling Customer Assistance at 800-860-8821. After allowing us a reasonable time to document your request, we will not share this information among our Affiliates for their use. Your request will apply to all of your accounts with us and with our Affiliates, including any accounts you own jointly with another person(s). Please be aware, however, that this choice is limited to the information about you described above. Even if you opt out, we still may share other types of information about you with our Affiliates as permitted by law, such as your contact information and transaction and experience information. In addition, our Affiliates may continue to use information they receive from us to perform services on our behalf, and to respond to communications from you, as you authorize or request.
Your Choice to Limit Marketing By Affiliates
The Camden National Corporation family of companies is providing this notice.
Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all marketing from the Camden National Corporation companies. Federal law also requires us to give you this notice to tell you about your choice to limit marketing from the Camden National Corporation companies
You may limit the Camden National Corporation companies from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that they receive from other Camden National Corporation companies. This information includes your income, your account history, and your credit history.
Your choice to limit marketing offers from the Camden National Corporation companies will apply until you tell us to change your choice.
Your request will apply to all of your accounts with us and with our Affiliates, including any accounts you own jointly with another person(s).
If you have already made a choice to limit such marketing offers from the Camden National Corporation companies, you do not need to act again.

Our Former Customers
Even if you are no longer a customer, our Privacy Policy and practices described therein will continue to apply to you.
Security Procedures
We are committed to the security, integrity and confidentiality of your financial and personal information. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard nonpublic personal information about you. We continually assess new technology for protecting information. Access to your information is granted only in accordance with our internal security policy and procedures.
Internet Banking and Web Site
We understand how important it is to protect the privacy of our online customers and Web site visitors. We collect information from our online banking and Web site users during the registration process. Personally identifiable information about you is not collected unless you specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis.
Online Banking - We will have access to your information when you apply for or use any of our online products or services. This information is retained on our system in order to provide the services requested.
Email and Online Forms - We will retain the content of any form or email, email address and our response to your communications received via email for the period of time required by bank regulations. This allows us to retain an audit trail and provide you with the product or service you have requested.
Registration Information - The information collected from our registration process may be used as follows:
- To enable us to process, validate and verify registrations.
- To give us information that is useful for developing new products and services to meet your needs.
- To allow us to potentially vary the advertising that you see based on your personal information.
- To allow us to provide you with home pages based on your personally requested information.
We will not sell our online banking user list. We will, however, send you email notifications of new site features and topic-based news and information alerts, unless you have notified us in writing that you do not wish to receive them.
You may edit registration information or cancel registrations at any time. We reserve the right to contact any registered user at any time regarding site-usage problems or changes to our registration policies
Cookies - We may collect non-personal information and data automatically through the standard operations of our Internet servers or through the use of "cookies." Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer's hard drive by the Web server (for example, our www.camdennational.com server). Hyperlinks to Outside Sites - The privacy practices of linked Web sites are not covered by our Privacy Policy, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices, data collection, security or content of other Web sites. You should be careful to review any privacy policies posted on linked sites before using them.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection - We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age online.
